NITT (National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli) is a premier technical institute located in the city of Trichy, Tamil Nadu. Established in 1964 as Regional Engineering College, it was later upgraded to National Institute of Technology and declared an Institution of National Importance by Government of India under NIT Act 2007. It offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs in various disciplines such as engineering, science & humanities with modern facilities for research and development activities. The institute has been consistently ranked among the top 10 NITs since its inception and strives to provide quality education through industry-academia collaborations.
